Hay naku, huwag ka ng mainis or manghinayang, kasi like Larry & Audie, I have 1 or 2 messages na rin na after I click "Send", hindi lumabas ang mahaba ko ring message, but I didn't mention it na lang kasi nga I made again a new one agad. Of course nandoon ang panghihinayang kasi nga sayang ang effort pati ang good mood natin on that time & day mismo sa pagtatatype, but on the other hand, what I did, I re-typed again at kung ano muna ang maalala ko ay iyon na muna ang tina-type ko, hindi man katulad nung nawalang message, ang importante may naipost pa rin ako for the day. Jaime : Again, a Belated Happy Birthday to you! So, now you are a year older, now you are 21 years old. Di ba, last time I saw your picture, you looked 20 y/o? So, I guess our friends in the Phils. are expecting a blow-out from you. But just to let you know, here in America, the B-day celebrant is the one being treated on his or her B-day. Siya ang binibigyan ng surprise party or get together ng mga friends or co-workers niya, whether may "potluck" sa work or to go out sa restaurant, then siya ang nililibre & may gifts pa. Yes, I remember noong nagtatrabaho pa ako sa Phils, sa Hospital of the Infant Jesus sa Laong Laan, noong nag B-day ako, naku, kantiyawan sa trabaho hanggang hindi ako nagbo-blowout. So, lahat ng taga 5th floor( yun ang buong ward namin) ay nilibre ko. Nagpabili ako sa orderly namin ng Goldilocks cake, pancit sotanghon, fresh lumpia at barbecue. Nagkataong bagong sueldo kasi kami, kaya alam na may pera pa ako. Hamo, pagnagkita-kita tayo ako ang "taya" sa kainan, ok?

Larry: Ang haba-haba ng posting mo. Nagkakanda-duling ako sa pagbasa at na cross-eyed na yata. But it is so informational & so true. Basta ha, pag-uwi namin ni Jun diyan, bibisitahin ka namin sa bundok Tralala as in sabi ni Jaime. At gusto kong matikman ang lahat ng specialty foods mo. By the way, kilala mo ba si Merly Diaz? 1V-2 siya. I just found out na nandito din siya sa California, at malapit pa dito sa amin. Mga 15-20 minutes drive lang. Sinabi ko nga sa kanya itong Forum natin, eh. Will you consider inviting her?

Letty: Hello my dear! Naku, kagabi, talagang nag-alburoto ako. Mantakin mo ba naman na ganadong-ganado ako at mahaba na ang na post ko, tapos nawala? Aba, ang tagal kong nag-type, ah. Alam mo naman, tuldok system lang ako kaya mabagal. Imagine my frustration! Talagang inis na inis ako. Tungkol nga pala sa tanong mo sa akin aboutmy mom, ay naku, last week, pinadala ko sa brother ko. Kasi kailangang mag-alternate naman kami ng alaga para naman hindi ako masyadong ma stress-out. Aba, last Monday, nasa gorecery ako, tumawag ang panganay kong anak at may naghahanap daw sa akin. Napulot daw niya ang mommy ko at she looks lost daw. Walang dalang ID si mommy at hindi na niya maalala kung saan siya nakatira o ano ang phone number niya. This "Good Samaritan" even went to the extent of trying to find out who she is. Nakita daw niya sa bag niya ang mga medications niya. So, nalaman ang pangalan niya, tapos tinawagan niya ang pharmacy (Walgreens) na nag-fill ng prescription niya. Tinanong niya kung ano ang address at phone number. Ayaw ngang ibigay sa kanya dahil "private info" iyon, pero nang explain daw niya na napulot niya ang matandang nawawala, binigay din nila. Hinatid pa niya sa bahay. kaya pagdating namin sa bahay, nandoon na. Sabi niya sa akin, kung talagang hindi niya mahanap ang family, dadalhin na lang niya sa police station. Naku, talagang lubos-lubos ang pasasalamat ko sa " Good Samaritan " na iyon. Sabi ko kanya, I will try to pass by her house to personally thank her. Ang laking galit ko sa kapatid ko, kasi papaano siya natakasan ni mommy? Hindi na puedeng iwanan mag-isa si mommy. Last time nga, nakasunog sa microwave, pati bowl, nasunog. She always wants to go out of the house, but she will not remember w/c house to go back to, & she wanders far away. Balak nga namin na iuwi na sa Phils. sa brother ko na lang na nasa QC, at least, puede silang mag hire ng maid, di ba? Kung dito naman, hindi uso ang maid. At nagtanong-tanong din ako sa mga Assisted Living Homes,naku, ang mahal naman, it will cost me at least $5,000.00/month. Aray! mas mahal pa sa mortgage payments ko! Any suggestions?

Freddie: How is Jakarta? Wow naman, bilib na ako sa iyo. Talagang nami-miss mo kami sa Forum ano? Sigelang, make it a point to open up the Forum at the end of the day para naman hindi ka mangulila both sa family at friends mo. Next time naman, mag post ka naman ng pictures mo sa Indonesia, para naman maaliw kami dito at makita din namin kung ano ang itsura ng Jakarta. Gaano ka ba katagal diyan? may contract ba?

Hello everyone, I was supposed to leave now our manufacturing facility here in Banten Province(90kms. away from Jakarta) and headed back to Jakarta when i was advised by my assistant to stay here for a while as the city is currently flooded and traffic going back is at stand still.
Sa Manila kahit may baha madaling humupa kaya makakauwi pa rin pero dito ang advice sa akin dito na ko magpalipas ng magdamag. Kaya heto nagpapahanap ako ng maayos na hotel. Walang palitan ng damit nito pagnagkataon hehehe..

Prislette - Hayaan mo pag may time ako makapaglibot sa city dito sa Jakarta at makapag pa KODAK. I'm not sure how long i will be assigned here but my impression was probably 3- 6 months. I will have my 1st home visit sa 3rd week of Feb. then afterwards baka si Mrs at mga bata na lang mapapunta rito to spend the Easter Break here. Jakarta is a nice City and I'm amazed of the architectural design and numbers of big buildings and there are still a lot of new structures being constructed.Kaya lang mahina sila sa Urban Planning kaya ma traffic at parang masikip. Well known din kasi itong bansang ito sa corruption. I'm currently staying at Marriot Hotel because of its proximity sa head office namin kaya lang ito yong Hotel kung saan nag karoon ng carbomb about 3 -4 years ago. Dito kasi mostly nag stay mga KANO. Ngayon bago ka makarating sa lobby ng hotel parang garisson ng hapon yun bang napapanood natin sa TV noon. Sobra higpit ng hotel security kaya pati tuloy ako provided ng company ng bodyguard/ driver. Naiilang tuloy ako hindi ako sanay alam mo namang sanay tayo sa Steets of Manila.

Larry - tapos na yata yong grace period natin for some of our friends here na nakakalimot na. Time to issue the Mugshots and i'm endorsing our friend Jun Papa to be the first casualty.

John Lennon Proclaims Beatles "More Popular Than Jesus" (March 4, 1966)

Today in Odd History, The Evening Standard published a long, rambling interview with John Lennon in which he proclaimed that the Beatles were "more popular than Jesus." Although there was little reaction to his statement in England, Christians elsewhere embarked upon a massive campaign to destroy Beatles albums and other paraphernalia. Lennon apologized for the remark later, and the Archbishop of Boston admitted that he was probably right, but many still refused to forgive him.
In its original context, the remark was part of a perfectly harmless lifestyle piece by Evening Standard reporter Maureen Cleave. She had spent the day Lennon, whom she described as "imperious, ... unpredictable, indolent, disorganised, childish, vague, charming and quick-witted." He took her on a tour of his mansion, talking about books and fame, and the gorilla suit he bought so he could drive around wearing it. When they reached the subject of religion, Lennon said, "Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. ... We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first-rock 'n' roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me."
