There were times too, that we don't leave for a vacation if the family is not a whole. When the kids were still small, we always make it a point we go long vacations every summer vacation. We started about a year ago to just have a special "time out" just for ourselves. We now go for 2-3 days at a time without the kids, they are all big now & can be left at home alone for the weekend. This is a special time for both of us to " rediscover" ourselves, spend time together, talk about plans for old age, etc. Sometimes we walk hand in hand along the beach like " young ones". We actually started doing this since my "cancer scare" in 2006. We want to "savor" every moment we can have now as it is scary to know that at anytime, either one of us might "leave" the other alone. And we want to leave behind fond memories of each other.

This advice is for everbody... to all of you ... my starbatchmates

Larry > Kumusta ka na? Hopefully you're not that low in mood anymore. Sayang naman kung madadagdagan pa ang lines mo eh ang pogi pogi mo na nga ngayon, sige ka.....Ako nga, i'm really looking forward doon sa song na you composed - yung "Isigaw Mo sa Langit" diba sabi mo kakantahin mo yun pag nag-50th birthday tayo?.....remember? Biro mo......yung batchmate ko na pastor, na mabait, eh singer/composer din pala....Hope napatawa din kita doon sa email ko na sony camera, nag-pose ka ba talaga? (hehehe!). Saludo ako sa post ni Freddie na he's correct when he says we are all somewhat connected..Gaya nga ng sabi mo we all got an angelic perspective in looking at the negatives......basta think na nandito kami behind you and syempre luv ka rin namin. Basta ako pag nagkita tayo personally i'm looking forward doon sa lahat ng masarap na luto ng ulam, kasi mahilig din ako magluto and kumain. Talagang kahit umaraw or umulan eh pupuntahan kita sa Baguio! and one more thing.....bakit nga kaya maraming nagpapapirma ng slumbook sayo nung HS pa tayo?......that i have to see for myself.....(hahaha).

Talagang saludo ako sa note mo kay Larry, medyo naging teary-eyed nga ako habang binabasa ko yun, kasi nga kahit ngayon lang ako naka-join sa inyo, it felt like i've been part of the group for so long, meron tayong rapport sa isa't isa, we value and respect each and everyone's opinion, we share ideal goals and most of all we laugh together like brothers and sisters. Yun siguro ang secret ng magandang communication dito sa Kapihan. So let's all keep it that way........Enjoy mo leave mo sa Phils with your family kasi yan ang moments na "priceless". Regards sa family. Sige, i am thinking tuloy kung talagang itext ko kay Larry yung may crush sa kanya, eh ang pogi pogi na nga ngayon, pero maski naman nuon eh pogi din, payat nga lang (he he). Bakit nga kaya ano? Ano ang secret ni Larry na bakit marami mahilig magpapirma ng slumbook sa kanya? Yan ang i-discover ko pag nakita ko sya uli personally next time (hahaha).

Prislette > hello also dear girlfriend. Nag-telebabad na naman tayo ano? Its so nice to talk to you. Basta secret natin yun kung sinong me crush kay Larry ha! (ay......dalawa na pala kaming me alam....lagot ako kay Larry). Hope you have a quality time pag nag-out of town kayo ni Jun, talagang "precious moments" yun that money can't buy. We all need to "slow dance", kasi we are not that young anymore.

Thanks sa lahat ng emails mo, i enjoyed reading them all, kaya nga nangangati rin lagi kamay ko to call you and have a good chat, but di ako makalusot sa line, laging busy. Pero, i will always try. Kumusta na rin kay Roel and sa mga bata. Basta huag kang ma-surpirsed pag nakalusot yung tawag ko and we'll have a long chat this time.

Hello to all of you once again my dear batchmates!

Larry -> how are you now? Hope, with all the uplifting & sincere messages that we've posted here (which means, concern lang tayo sa isa't isa), medyo masigla na ang mga araw mo. Partly, I am thankful for what had happened before, kasi we knew kung sino ang mga nagpakatotoong tao sa atin. Very much thankful naman ako sa iyo for opening this forumotion link kasi nga we're here to support each other spiritually, morally, socially, hindi nga lang physically, dahil hindi tayo nagkikita-kita ng madalas, especially those our nice batchmates who are abroad, but still they're here sending their messages for us to update anything about them. Yun lang ay malaki ng bonus sa bawa't isa sa atin, lalo na sa iyo dahil since you started this forumotion ay tuloy-tuloy pa rin tayo & no hassles at all, yun nga lang yung iba due to their busy schedules ay hindi tayo nakakabalita lately, but deep in my heart, I know they're thinking of us here & I'm always positively expecting na any day soon, we can read about them again. Tama lang din ang ginawa mo to open up you sentiments here, talagang babalik at babalik sa ating alaala ang mga hindi magagandang nangyari, nasabi at nakasakit sa kalooban natin, "it's part of everyone's life", ika nga. But we have to accept the fact na mas marami pa rin ang nagpapasaya at nagbibigay ng kasiglahan sa buhay natin, epseically when we're at the lowest moment of our lives. I know you're such a good son/husband/father/friend/batchmate, etc... kaya nga we're lucky to have a trusted batchmates din di ba? For now, hayaan mo na lang silang mga nakasakit sa atin, you knew very well how I felt during those days but I stood firm na mali si ng paratang kay Ompong & it's proven kaya hindi na sila kumibo or hindi rin natin alam if they have their personal move to explain to Ompong. Jaime -> hi to you my friend? Thanks for posting Manny C.'s jokes, nakakatuwa talaga at nakaka-relax. As what I've said before, lahat tayo rito ay pwedeng maging MODERATORS. Honestly, minsan nga ay nahihiya akong mag-comment or mag-correct, pero I have to do it, kasi nga hindi maiwasang magkamali eh & you're right dahil we're not getting younger, lahat tayo ay meron ng memory gap. Nice to know na nakapag-celebrate na rin pala ng 50th wedding anniv. your parents 5 years ago, at least sama-sama kayong nagcelebrate diyan with them. Di ba nakaka-inspire na umabot sila ng 50 years & more na sila pa ring dalawa ang magkasama at nandiyan kayo always for them

Good to hear that you will be having your vacation here again with your family, di ba ang sarap ng pakiramdam kapag makakasama mo ulit ang family mo, enjoy your vacation with your family pare! Sayang naman ano at hindi magtama ang schedules ng mga kids mo kaya imbes na sila ang pupunta sa Indonesia ay ikaw na lang ulit ang uuwi dito sa Pinas. Hay naku Pare, talagang ganun kaming mga nanay (like you lovely wife), talagang mas prefer namin na kung magbabakasyon lang din ay kasama ang mga anak lalo pa nga at puro girls ang mga anak mo, kahit pa sabihing malalaki na sila, but still, mas panatag kaming mga mothers na we're always at their side anytime they need our assistance, attention etc... But still, as wife, gusto rin namin ang bonding moments sa asawa, yun nga lang we can manage na malayo kayo sa amin dahil accepted at naiintindihan nating mabuti ang situation, pero time will surely come na kapag nagka-pamilya na our kids (huwag nga lang munang magka-apo), we can get na the precious & quality time sa isa't isa, pero sa amin ni Roel ay medyo matatagalan pa, dahil nga ang eldest namin will be 2nd year high school pa lang this school year, mahaba pang taon to save for their education. Anyhow, kapag nandito naman si Roel, talagang he is spending his quality time with us, gusto niya ay pamilya kaming lumalabas/namamasyal dahil nga mas matagal pa ang itinitigil niya sa barko kaysa makasama kami, lalo pa nga at nagdadalaga na our kids, darating at darating ang time na magkakaroon na sila ng sarili nilang mundong ginagalawan, kaya't hanggang makakasama namin sila kahit saan, ay iyon ang ginagawa namin. By the way Pare, ok lang bang i-copy paste ko sa e-mail ko kay Mareng ATG a part of your message here about your "kantiyaw" to her on her upcoming bday. BUT, mas mauuna yata ang bday mo di ba? Maybe you can treat us in advance (isabay nyo na kaya) habang you're having your vacation here, kasi baka sa bday mo ay nakabalik ka na ulit sa Indonesia. Baka pwede nyo kaming isama sa Alaminos, tutal summer naman para makapag-swimming kaming mga ibo-blow-out ninyo (joke... pero baka pwede rin naman di ba?). I was talking to Trifee and he seems alright. He got a very positive attitude and still laughing kaya I'm sure he's just waiting for response for his job interviews and what not...

I've been out for a while so I find it hard to keep up with the latest messages. Bakit malungkot si Larry? Worried naman ako. Siya palagi ang nagbibigay sa atin ng mga pep messages kapag tayo ang malungkot. Larry, dear. Ano man yun, we're always here for you. Malalampasan mo din yan. You've been in more difficult situations and you have proven time and again that you're made of tougher stuff. I have no doubt you can surpass this again.

And to my good friend Trifee, what's the thing about employment? Did you resign? Ok lang yun. It's difficult to cut the umbilical chord from an organization that you have learned to love but time will tell you that there's always life after every job. The good thing about it....oftentimes...it's better.

Hi Prislette...I miss you. I know you're doing ok. Ang sweet ng latest message mo about trying to rediscover yourselves (you and Jun). Ganon nga talaga ang relationship. Everyday is a rediscovery of each other. That's how we make our relationship exciting!

You should take as a good example si Ehris na before she posted her very 1st message, she read all the messages from page 1 muna & from there she saw some of the pictures of ours, emoticons, etc..., kaya lalo siyang na-inspired to post here. Yes, you're very much right Thelma, last month pa I've enrolled na my 2 kids, then this morning ay books naman ang binili namin sa school & we put plastic covers na rin, then this weekends we will buy naman the schools supplies & new uniforms para sa bunso. Totoo ang sabi ng mga relatives mo na nanggaling ng vacation dito, grabe ang init, talagang "super summer heat" kaya nga minsan ay nakakatamad lumabas ng bahay, kahit nga bagong ligo lang, paglabas mo ng banyo ay pagpapawisan ka na naman ulit. Hello Dear Classmates!

Sorry if I was not able to post any message lately. It's been emotinally frustrating for me job hunting after 8 long years of being busy working.

The Columbus, Ohio 6-month contract position did not work out as the employer preferred a local candidate instead of taking one from Canada.

I have another - one fulltime position cooking, for a government office in Washington, DC where I had the employer technical interview by phone this afternoon and I passed it. There is a second interview by phone again on Friday. Wish me luck! I was told by my IT recruiter that should I pass this one, there is one last face-to-face interview where they will fly me into Washington, DC.

I guess I am a little bit depressed. At this age, this situation is somewhat frustrating for me. I am not one person who would take this as a chance to relax for awhile and live by the unemployment insurance for about a year. I just want to be busy again, working ...

Sorry, I have to involve you classmates, in my emotional roller-coaster ...

Trifee -> feeling happy & a little bit sad reading your latest message here. Alam mo naman for a fact that all of us here give/extend our spiritual/moral support to each other. This forumotion is open in all kinds of topic (personal, emotional, sensitive, humorous, happy, sad, etc...), kaya nga we're thankful that this forumotion existed & hoping that the existence of this forumotion will be alive as long as we're here & kicking , this is an outlet also for all of us to share everything, especially our feelings deep inside & whatever in our minds as well. Be positive my friend/classmate/batcmate, sa ngayon talaga medyo maiinip ka to find the job you're qualified & what you're exactly looking/applying for, lalo pa nga at nasanay kang magtrabaho for a very long time na & siyempre you're always thinking all the financial obligations (not only you but all of us) for our family & the day-to-day expenses. As what I've told you before, have patience & good luck sa interviews mo!

Ehris -> hi to you my dear friend! I'm really surprised & happy sa unexpected call mo sa akin yesterday (Thurs., May 1). You're a sweet & jolly person, alive na alive ang boses mo at ang dami nating napag-kwentuhan especially when we were still young & the experiences we've had hanggang sa makapagtapos in college, makapagtrabaho, magkaroon ng sariling pamilya at ngayon ay may communication tayong batch 77 & we're all looking forward na magkita-kita ulit to make our bonding/friendship more closer & long-lasting. This is just to inform everybody that I received a following e-mail from one of the present officers of our batch as follows:

"We had just finished our meeting re. our out of town reuinon on May 17 in Calatagan, Batangas...... as of this time (May 2, Fri.) 30 na po ang confirmed na sasama and we all hope na makasama ka rin at ang iba pa nating batchmates - P650.00 po/head and meron tayong Gen. meeting on May 10 Sat. at 3 p.m. sa Jadevine, U.N. Avenue for our final headcount and para din sa iba pang details. Batchmates sana eh magkasama-sama tayo sa May 17, once in a lifetime reunion po ito....so tara na!!!!!!"
