| TO THOSE OF US WHO WERE BORN IN THE
1950's, 60's and 70's !!
We were born at a time at the of the Korean War, start of the Cold War and Vietnam War – but who really cares? We were just babies back then.
Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints, pati na yung laruang kabayu-kabayuhan, pati asbestos is everywhere.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles or child proof doors and cabinets. We rode our bisekleta, we had no helmets, no kneepads, sometimes wala ngang preno yung bisikleta.
As children, we would ride in car with no seat belts or air bags - hanggang ngayon naman, di ba ? (jeepney and buses)
Riding in the back of a pick up truck an or stainless owner jeep on a warm day was always a special treat (maykaya kayo pag ganyan)
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle even straight from the gripo and we don’t care – nauuhaw kasi saka wala naman bottled water nuon.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this or contracted hepatitis.
We ate rice with tinunaw na purico ( dahil ubos na ang star margarine), nutribuns na galing kay Macoy and drank sopdrinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight kasi nga ......
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. Sarap mag patintero, tumbang preso, habulan, taguan ....
No one was able to reach us all day (di uso ang cellphone). And we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our trolleys or scooters out of scraps and then ride down the street, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into kanals and bangketa a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Playstation, Nintendo, X-box, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no DVD, no VCD, no Karaoke or Videoke, no surround sound, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms....... ...WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. The only ribbing we get is from our friends with the words ..... masakit ba?
We play in the dirt, wash our hands a little and ate with our bare hands ... we were not afraid of getting worms in our stomachs.
We have to live with homemade guns - gawa sa kahoy, tinali ng rubberband, sumpit, tirador at kung ano ano pa na puedeng makasakit... ..pero walang nagrereklamo.
We made up games with sticks (syatong)and cans ( tumbang preso ) and although we were told it would happen, wala naman tayong binulag o napatay .... paminsan minsan may nabubukulan...
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!
This generation of ours has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and managers ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, and success; and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!
And YOU are one of them!!! CONGRATULATIONS! |

Ang galing ng background mo, the Luxor – pyramids of Egypt.

 | Subject: I GOT TO SLEEP EARLY CUZ I 'M UNDERGOING FASTING FOR... Thu Sep 18, 2008 2:19 pm | |
| MY LIVER CLEANSE AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH! I RECOMMEND THIS YOU GUYZ ESP. THOSE WHO KNOW THEY GOT SOME GALL OR LIVER PROBLEMS, GRABE ANG GALING! Step 3a: Liver Cleanse and Gallbladder Flush (Alternative Procedure) An alternative procedure to Step 3 above combines gallbladder flush with liver flush. It uses apple juice fasting, as described below (based on Herbally Yours, by Penny C. Royal, Sound Nutrition, Utah, 1982). I would like to caution that people with cancer, candida yeast infection, diabetes, hypoglycemia or stomach ulcer should not use this apple juice fasting procedure because of the high sugar content in the apple juice. DAY 1:Take 2 cups of 8 oz organic apple juice or apple cider every 2 hours from 8 am to 8 pm. Altogether 14 cups will have been taken during this period. Do not take any other food or drinks except plain water. Please note that the apple juice should not be taken cold from the refrigerator. It should be kept at room temperature or mixed with about 10% hot water before use because cold drinks chill the liver. For people with lots of stagnant bile, the collapsed stagnant bile may rush out after drinking apple juice. It may feel like having diarrhea but is actually stagnant bile (brownish yellow colour). Day 2:1. Repeat Day 1 2. At 8:30 pm, take ½-cup (4 oz) of olive oil (extra virgin cold pressed) mixed with ½-cup of lemon juice (squeezed from 3 lemons) or with ¾-cup of freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice. 3. Go immediately to bed and sleep on your right side. If there is a large amount of stones, nausea may be felt after drinking olive oil but this feeling will largely disappear on the third day after taking some food. Day 3:1. Upon rising in the morning, take 1 litre (approximately 4 cups) of warm distilled or filtered water containing two level teaspoons of un-iodized sea salt. Alternatively the addition of juice from half a lemon may be used in place of the sea salt. Wait for at least half an hour before eating. 2. Take vegetable broth and softly cooked vegetables only. The stones should be passed in the stool any time between midnight of Day 2 and morning of Day 4. Note: The purpose of drinking apple juice is mainly for the malic acid in apple juice. Malic acid is a good solvent for stagnant bile in the liver. Apple juice taken during fasting would dissolve and push out stagnant bile in the liver. For someone with a yeast infection or diabetes, apple juice can be replaced by malic acid in capsule or powder form. The fasting procedure is the same except that apple juice is replaced by 1000 - 2000 mg of malic acid taken with 2 cups of warm water. IT'S MY FIRST DAY AND I WAS ADVISED BY MY DOCTOR TO SLEEP EARLY! BUKAS NA TAYO CHAT MANNY ACE HANE? TOMORROW NA DIN AKO MAGREPLY SA LAHAT! THELMA YOU'RE WELCOME, THANKS SA TEXT! SIGE PO, LETZ GOODNIGHT, TOO AND TO ALL OF YOU! | Subject: Thanks again Trifee! Fri Sep 19, 2008 2:09 am | |
| Hi & good day everyone! Hope you're all doing fine? Trifee -> nice to chat w/ you again this morning! By the way, thanks a lot nga pala ulit sa ginawa mong poem para sa amin ni Roel (4,7 - Roel's special code numbers), which you posted last Sept. 11. Binalikan ko iyon to read again & I hope you will not forget my request to pls. send it to me by e-mail para ma-i-print ko, same as what I di sa poem made by Larry, so that when Roel is here na, I can show it to him Pareng James -> thanks for your honest & sincere comment on the present issue. It's true na may mga sarili tayong pananaw, paniniwala at pagpapahalaga sa personalidad ng bawa't isa, but how to show it & use it as gentlemanly or jokingly, there's always a big difference di ba? Besides, how can we respect a person if he doesn't know how to respect others? Kaya kayong mga kasama naming boys dito, my salute are all w/ you dahil sa mga messages that you're all posting here ay naipapakilala ninyo mismo kung anong klaseng pagkatao meron kayo, without any making any effort na ipagmalaki or ipagmayabang iyon. You're all so natural & alam ninyong iparamdam sa lahat na respect ay palaging present sa mga messages natin dito Pareng Sam -> hi & it seems wala ka ng problema na magpost dito. How about si Pareng Ompong, nakakapag-usap or chat ba kayo? Maybe you can assist him din on how to post here, remember yung 1st posting niya ay nag-over-the-bakod baka kaya ayaw na muna ulit magpost Manny.Ace.Fresh -> ang gaganda ng mga sini-share mong postings dito, pati na yung mga cute pictures, which I will let my kids look at them din once they arrive from school Manny Cortez -> siguro nga ito ang tamang time na malaman din ninyo ang mga nangyari before para hindi one-side lang ang nalalaman ninyo. Hoping na yung unity that most of us want to happen ay mangyari sa pagtutulungan & sincere effort ng bawa't isa, officers man o hindi Larry -> how are you feeling my friend? Hope & pray that everything will be ok for you Thelma -> hi & we really had a great conversation last night. Thanks for your sincerety & trust. I always speak from my mind & from my heart (una lagi ang isip, kaya nga inilgay ni God ang utak sa ulo natin para it's always on top of our heart)! Elie -> I thought ika na yung tumatawag sa cellphone ko last night, hindi pala. To all of you -> hello & warm regards! Alwayz, Letty Special message to all of you my dear baristas : 'YOUR FRIENDSHIP FILLED MY HEART WITH JOY'. Thank you! |

| A pleasant day to all of you my dear friends and batchmates. I am having difficulty managing my schedule right now due to recent reorganization again in our company brought about by this global economic crisis. Our office here in Makati will be moving from premiere floors in the building to a modest floor as part of the cost cutting. Instead of adding burden on how to squeze in so many personnel in a very limited space, i decided that my team hold office in our manufacturing plant in Antipolo. The company will save a little but what is important is that we will not go through anymore battling daily traffic in going to Makati. Warms regards sa inyong lahat and have a nice week end. |
