Naku my golly, I really want to thank you so much about the tip you made mention yung night coughing. It was amazing, after I tried it ang sarap ng tulog ko and my cough did not bother me at all. You are an angel sent by heaven thanks talaga. That’s why I forward your message sa mgafriends and relatives ko. More good tips please, I’m sure you have a lot hidden inside your pocket. Galing talaga saludo ako.

To tell you all my friends, I have this night coughing problem that is pestering me everytime I am about to go to sleep. It takes about 10-15 minutes coughing until I was able to get sleep. But sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night coughing kaya nakakainis. I had tried a lot of coughing medicine but to no avail but when I tried this formula, it really helps a lot kaya vicks vapo rub will always be a part of me. Try it and I’m sure you will experience good result.

Ola my kumpare what a nice gtkpi you have !!! You are really a very successful guy and I’m very proud of your achievements. Habang binabasa ko ay talagang napapailing ako sa galing mo. For the information of everybody here, I want to share with you my close friendship with Pareng Randy. Since 1964 pa when we were young toddler at hindi pa nag-aaral, we are already friend at sanggang dikit sa mga laro na kung ano-ano. Because we are magkalapit bahay lang sa Dart Paco kaya sa labas magkakalaro na kami pati mga utol niya at mga utol ko. As young kid, I was encouraged by him to sell din mga foods inside Sine “S” theatre in Dart. We even became classmates in elementary at ganun din kahit nag-aaral na kami we sometimes go out together selling ice drop in the streets. Sa high school in Araullo classmates pa rin kami and as usual hindi pa rin nawala ang friendship. Palaging nandun magkasama kahit san kami magpunta magkakasama sa mga barkadahan. I was with him ng malasing siya at mag-inuman sa labas ng Araullo courtesy of Ompongs’ gin favorite hehehee….I am very close with their family even after high school and they treat me as part of their family too. We part ways when Pareng Randy went abroad at pati ako. But communication never stop there. He became one of the certified Kumpare of my anak and even until now year 2008,which means 44 yrs since 1964, nobody can beat the close friendship with me and Pareng Randy. Saludo ako sa kaibigan kong yan, he is my best friend that I am really proud of. Pareng Randy, you are the best.

You know what, I am so elated dahil maraming positive things na nagawa sa akin ang forumation na ito. Look for example itong mga 10 foods na bad for Pinoy health which you sent just now. Isa na ako diyan sa nadale kaya lahat ng iyan ay tutoo. Kaya nga no wonder I was rushed to emergency due to cardiac arrest and they found my blood pressure was high and so with my sugar. Ang mga bad food eating habits ang isang naging dahilan kaya ako nagkaroon ng blood clot in my artery. That’s why I am trying to avoid all these and try to eat more fish and vegetables na. Thanks really sa mga tips mo ditto.

Kumusta Pareng Noel tisoy? Mabuti nakita ko yung unang message posting mo na naligaw. I remember you are my classmate in 2nd yr along with our tropang Jose Bagaporo,Samuel Gathercole,Elmer Sumagpao,Felix Majabague,Mario Inosanto and many others. It was probably in year 1986 when I saw Jose Bagaporo managing their Club business in Ermita and he told me that Samuel Gathercole is one of the lead guitarist in a band. This is just one of the story I want to share with you wala na kasi akong iba pang maisip after high school. The last time I saw you was in Mayapis St. and if my memory serves me right, you told me you are working that time in the airport. How time flies please share with us here everything about you and your family. I hope that you are also in good health condition and with a stable work or probably business dahil we need this at this time lalo pa ang hirap ng buhay sa ngayon. I am working here in Doha Qatar ditto na yata ako mag retire after so many years working abroad since 1992 pa. Straight working years yun at halos 1 yr ang longest stay ko in Manila after I left Indonesia in 2003.

Heto muling ang inyong lingkod na sampay bakod na laging nagoover da bakod

Its sem break for a week, so I have time to post and tell some stories during high school. I learned how to play guitar and chess from my dear friend , James D' Duncan, and was harnessed by chess wiz, trifee. Ayee or Ariel Marbella taught me how to play billiard and jai alai. I remember one time with Juliano, Ayee, and I went to play in Sta. Cruz, we run out of money, and decided to run away from the place without paying our bills.

SA Jai Alai,madalas kong makasama sina Ayee, Alex, Elmer, Sonny, Jun yata, at pag nanalo, kain sa restaurant at uwi na. May laro kaming jai alai ( siesta ay shell gallon container) sa Philam Life court with Jun, Ayee, Alex, and some friends.

Si Elmer at Aldo Santos ang nagturo sa akin magswimming, every weekend ay pumupunta kami sa YMCA swimming pool and perhaps spent two or three hours in the pool.

Mga kasabay kong naglalakad from AHS to Paco sina Sonny, Alex, Josefino Geli, Roel, Pareng James D' Duncan, dahil wala ng perang pamasahe :-)

Of course, may mga crushes kami, pero si Pareng James lang ang nakapanliligaw dahil aral na siya sa mga tailors nila sa kanilang patahian. Bata pa kami, marunong ng magluto si Pareng James, at madalas naliligaw ako sa lugar nila pag oras ng lunch or dinner:-)

Si Freddie N, ay hindi namin makalaro ng basketball, dahil mataas ang level niya noon sa sports, kami maliliit lang , at kuntento na sa half court. Freddie could play all the sports at that time, and we were impressed on his performance.

How nice to have a hot cup of coffee in the morning. I cannot start the day without one! I am already sipping Starbucks coffee ( that is my brand) while driving on the way to work. Currently, I am at work, 10:59 am. I have down time , so I might as well post a message. AS I may not have time when I go home this afternoon.

Mareng Letty:
How was your big day? Paano mo na -celebrate ang B-day mo? I was thinking of you. I was there in spirit for you. I hope that it was a fruitful day & a memorable one.

Larry:
I am now getting used to getting in here. But I noticed that each time is a different way, especially if I have to access it though my e-mail. But, here I am. I tried to call up Dodie yesterday, but no one was home. I know that she now is lost, too. So you have decorated your house for Christmas already? I haven't, as there is still Halloween & Thanksgiving. When the kids were still little, even Halloween, I decorate the house. Then they get excited to do "Trick or Treat" I start decorating for Christmas between the 1st & 2nd week of December as we buy "fresh Christmas trees". Can't buy too early as it will be withered by the time it is really Christmas. Oh... I love the smell of fresh pine tree inside the house. Then the "parols" are hanging by the windows, I have 5 of them, those w/ different colors & design. Jun even have to Hand-carry them from the Phils. a few years back.

How are you dearie? How is the construction of your house going? Send us pictures. Yes, it would be a good idea if we can have our reunion at your place, you said you have fruit orchard, too? That would be nice. At least we will feel " at ease" knowing that is owned by one of the Kapihan members, di ba?

Sige lang, basta pagdating namin diyan, kailangang mayroon tayong time to "bond" & catch up on what we've lost in the last 31 yrs. Nakikinita ko na na puro tawanan at hagikhikan tayo. Kami nga ni Dodie, kahit dalawa lang kami sa phone, puro tawanan.

Have you fully recovered na? Are you back to full duty at work? Eventhough, still take it easy, ok? Naayos na rin ang laptop ko ng co-worker sa IT dept. ng anak ko. There was an error daw at hindi nagco-communicate right when I am in the internet. Thanks also at he said na hindi naman na virus. Kaya nga lately, para bang "takot" na akong gamitin iyon. Last night I tried to see if anyone was on-line para maka-chat, pero I don't know where & how start or initiate it.

Where are you my friend? Miss ko na ang kuwentuhan natin at tawanan, ah. Call me , or best chat pero, pero guide mo sana ako. Last time si Letty ang nag-guide sa akin, pero ngayon, hindi ko na uli alam.

Belated happy Birthday sweet Letty. Pasensiya ka na sa akin. I have to admit, my biggest weakness is to forget dates for birthdays and anniversaries. Pero, it doesn't mean I care less about my love ones. Kahit hindi birthday, I try to make it a point that the person feels that it's a special day. Ay sus....excuses...excuses...

Hello Ehris...yes...miss ko na ang giggles natin. As usual, dakilang mommy na naman ako last week-end. Pati divisoria, napuntahan ko para lang pagbigyan ko ang daughter ko na ...ewan ko ba...gustong-gustong pumunta sa Divisoria. Sabi nya....dito daw nya nakikita ang ikot ng mundo sa buhay ng isang Pinoy. Hay naku...yung mga anak ko...manang-mana sa amin ni Bon...masyadong profound...

Dearest Prislette, talagang magha-handa kami ni Nette. Ang dami kong na-discover. Pati yung "tuhog-tuhog the banana cue" in D'Panots...di ko talaga alam yun noon. ha-ha-ha! Pati yung mga totoong nangyari sa ating mga crushes versus perceptions created. Ang dami pa palang pwede nating pag-kwentuhan. Naku...sobrang miss na namin kayo...


A snapshot of a typical day with the D'Panots is filled with quiet confidence that we need not talk so much and yet we understand each other's needs and dreams. Before an exam, no one will remind anyone to study but if in case someone did not, a ready made outline for a quick review is prepared. Minsan si Ohmed, minsan si Nanette, minsan ako, minsan si Pye...minsan si Prislette...palaging wala si Cindy (he-he-he). What is amazing is...hindi nakatoka sa isa lang...wala ring nagu-utos na gawin yun. Innate interest to help lang a friend... Afternoon break is either at Marian's school of Nursing Canteen eating banana with sago, Girl's Scouts headquarters reading pocket books or dahil may mga crushes din kami, tambay malapit sa canteen malapit sa Adamson, kumain ng leche flan at panoorin yung gwapong anak ng may-ari.

Week-end is easy-ride biking with Cindy, visit Nette in Sta.Ana, or tambay sa bahay nila Dodie sa Calatagan, Makati or sa apartment ni Pye sa Makati. Masarap yung merienda na prepared ng mommy ni Nette, or yung banana cue/turon at nilagang mais kila Pye. Naughty giggles kapag nakatalikod na si Mrs. Sandoval (mahigpit kasi yun...kailangang ipag-paalam palagi si Prislette). Kung may singing competetion, practice sa bahay nila Yogee sa Malibay, Pasay. Bago umuwi, dadaan sa palengke ng Malibay para bumili ng panyo. Remember Carusso na brand?

Most of the week-ends are spent on camps...Day-camp sa Araullo or rolling camp sa iba't ibang lugar (starting from Baras, Rizal,...to Guiguinto, Bulacan...to Los Banos, Laguna). Inom ng comfrey tea with tita Mely Marcelo...jungle survival sa mga bundok...Doon namin na-meet yung mga boy-scouts from FEU. Sila ang pinakuha namin ng aming mga buko para may makain kami. Swimming for girls sa Jamboree site. Minsan may nag-dive na junior girl scout. Ang ganda-ganda pa naman nya. Kaso pag-dive nya, tumalsik ang pustiso...lahat kami naghanap ng pustiso sa pool. Haay...sobrang sakit ng tyan namin sa kakatawa...Dahil sama-sama sa cabin...walang tulugan...minsan puro multo ang topic...pinaka-takot si Cindy at si Dodie...Matapang si Ohmed. Tamad kaming magluto sa camping. Besides, walang marunong magluto sa amin. Buti na lang nandyan si Natalie Young. Sya palagi ang cook. Puro ginisang corned beef nga lang. Kapag maliligo na kami, si Nanette palagi ang may dalang shampoo at sabon namin (di nya nalilimutan). Ako palaging may jungle bolo at stick. Si Dodie palaging may baon na canned goods. Padala ng mommy nya. Si Cindy, sya palagi ang may dala ng gitara. Si Prislette...hair rollers ha-ha-ha!!!


O sige mga friends...till my next reminiscing moments...

Magandang araw sa inyong lahat batchmates! Yes, after the typhoon 'Marce' left Pinas, matindi ang sikat ng araw since yesterday. Ok lang din, kasi I prefer yung may araw kaysa ilang araw na umuulan.

Larry -> hi to you once again, talaga namang red carpet ang inilataga mo for Beth & I saw her pictures both sa itaas na kasama na natin siya at sa tabi mismo ng red carpet na welcome mo to her. Let's wait what will be her reaction/comment once nakita niya yung pagwelcome mo sa kanya & our warm welcome too. Larry, it's better na lang that I will request Randy to send his family picture to you directly para sure na ma-open mo ha!

Manny.Ace.Fresh -> talagang pwede na kayong magpartner ni Larry sa mas lalong pagpapaganda & making this forumotion of ours most inspiring & coffee-friendly/bonding talaga

Mareng Prislette -> honestly, kayong mga nagpasaya ng birthday ko ay kasama ko hanggang before ako makatulog with a smile on my face. Few days pa lang before my birthday, then yung mismong birthday ko & after my birthday, may mga bumabati pa rin, kaya nga tuloy-tuloy din ang pasasalamat ko. I always prefer family celebration lang, siyempre iba yung 50th bday nating lahat. Actually nung mismong birthday ko, I cooked something na pinagsaluhan naming mag-iina, I asked them in particular kung ano-ano ang gusto nilang kainin on my special day. Then the following day, your Pareng Roel & my 2 kids offered a thanksgiving mass for me & after the mass, we went to my parents' house in Cainta (kasama namin yung pamangkin ko na dinala yung car nila), konting salu-salo with my parents, sisters, nephews & nieces, mga bayaw & pamangkin. Actually, whenever we visit my parents, palaging parang may get-together kasi nga hindi kami regular nagkikita-kita dahil kaming magkakapatid ay may kanya-kanyang mga pamilya na at yung iba ay nagwo-work at may mga kids pang napasok. We arrived late last night, pero maaga pa rin nagising my kids today para pumasok sa school.

Thelma -> hi to you & how's your son? Hope & pray that he's doing better now at medyo ok na ang pag-sleep niya. Thank you very much for your greetings! It's ok, sa dami ba naman ng ginagawa, iniisip at mga friends mo, talagang nangyayari na from time to time ay may nakakaligtaan eh, it sometimes happen to me too. Naku talagang nanay-na-nanay ang dating mo ha, you have to tag along sa anak mo nung magyaya siya sa Divisoria. Kami ring magkakapatid kapag gustong pumunta ng Divisoria ay niyayaya namin ang nanay ko, kasi alam na alam niya ang mga pasikot-sikot doon kaya hindi kami maghahanap or mag-iikot pa kung saan-saan, dahil palaging maraming tao eh

Hi, James. You are most welcome, and am glad na napaigi na ang pag-ubo mo. Sabi ko nga it's proven effective. I was able to try it, and I slept snugly like a baby.. ang sarap tuloy ng feeling pagkagising ko. Now, am back here sa office, back to normal na ulit.

Puna ko nga ang rich ng sharings natin dito, from all types of topics, lalo na ang latest posting ni Letty. Guilty din ako diyan, kaya I really appreciate it sa mga postings that reminds us to be healthy, ika nga di na tayo bumabata.

Ang galing ng bagong improvement, I don't know if ganoon din ang experience ninyo, but I received two emails from our Kapihan, telling me I 'was watching' the topics here. It's a good development, kasi hindi mahirap mag-post, click lang sa link na naka-attach sa email and presto! Nandito ka na sa bahay.... thanks, Larry, alam ko bunga ito ng pagnanais mong gumanda lalo at maging madali ang pagpasok dito sa bahay natin. Congrats again, my friend. Hands up ako sa iyo!

Larry – Talagang napakaraming mong Fireworks at mga wishes para kay Letty. Sa wakas ay nakapag-post din si Beth Cabling. Nakapag-abot na din ako ng coffee para sa kanya at natulungan kita mag roll ng RED CARPET for her grand entrance. Balita ko panay ang bagyo ngayon dyan sa Pinas at ulan ng ulan. Ingat lang palagi ‘Bay.

Letty – Alam ko napakasaya ng weekend mo, sana nga andyan si Roel noh. Maraming salamat at na-enjoy mo ang pix namin ng mga bata. Galing kami sa Chinatown sa San Francisco nyan and we splurged a little bit. Nagmukha kaming Chinese na Vietnamese noh … ha ha ha. Ang anak ko na si Michael ang talagang mahilig sa mga burloloy sa katawan, mga spikes, chains at gothic clothing. Pero ok lang, hinahayaan ko lang ang mga anak ko na mag express ng sarili nila, as long na hindi na overboard. Medyo tinamaan ako dun sa mga dapat iwasan na food minus sa mga ito – Alak (bawal dito yan eh, pero available pa din kung talagang gusto); Lama loob – yuk, hindi ako kumakain nyan; chicharon at chicharon bulaklak – yuk, isa pa yan – hindi ko trip yan. Lechon – paminsan minsan lang, pa special occasion. Sa street food (vendors) iwas na din ako dyan – I used to experiment sa mga yan, lalo na sa Korea, HongKong, Thailand, Singapore and syempre sa Pinas pero never na ngayon – Hepa, worms at sakit ang abot mo dyan.

Prislette – I sent you a Tutorial, mag experiment ka lang dyan and do not get too frustrated, sige ka masisira ang beauty mo. Promise, pag andyan ako sa California magkikita tayo, not sure pa kung kelan ako uuwi dyan eh. Baka magulat ka na lang kumakatok na ako sa pinto ninyo dyan sa Hercules … ha ha ha. I am just a phone call away Prislette.

Nette – Natutuwa ako at na e-enjoy mo ang mga pix na pino-post ko dito. Very informative din ang pinost mo about the Vicks, i-try ko minsan. It is good na pag breaktime mo eh nakakasilip at nakakapag post ka ditto Nette. More pictures from me to come.

Mathel – I read your recent post about the dPanots escapades, nakakatuwa talaga noh. Sige lang inggitin mo sila Prislette, Dodie at Pye para magsi-uwian sila dyan sa Pinas at mag-bonding kayo sama sama nila Nette at Beebot.

James Dabu – You’re welcome P’re sa pagbati mo na ‘retarded’ na ako. Sa totoo lang not totally retarded ako – semi retarded pa lang. Kasi working pa rin ako, saka nasa ‘Fleet Reserve’ pa ako, subject to recall pa rin. Umiinit na naman nga ang Afghanistan, magkakaroon ng shifting ng troops kasi medyo nako-kontrol na ang Iraq. Ang gyera talaga, wala ng katapusan.

James Duncan – Nakapanood ka pala ng ‘Airshows’ that was awesome di ba. The speed and exhilaration, then naglalagay pa talaga ng ‘smoke trails’ para masubaybayan mo ang mga airplanes. I know what you are talking about – the ‘ejection’ from an airplane. That put’s a lot of stress on the body, na co-compress ang spine due to the sudden firing of the rockets na naka-attach sa ejection seat. I remember when I was in instrument training ng F/A-18 Hornet. I was shot off the catapult of an aircraft carrier and my engines were degraded and losing altitude – I hear all these alarms in my ears, radio calls and was scanning all the instruments in the cockpit. I have to make a quick decision whether to stick with the airplane or bail out. I pulled the ejection handle at about 300 feet, whew that was close. On another note, tama ka James – habang lumalaki at umeedad ang mga bata, mas lalong lumalaki ang hinihiling nila, mas magastos di ba.



Speaking of magastos - yan ang hiling ng Boys ko para sa Graduation nila - Toyota Tacoma 4X2 pick up truck. Well the y got it, yan ang ginagamit nila ngayon pang sundo, hatid at pasok sa school.
