| May katwirang pawisan si Larry...ha-ha-ha. Hay naku, Freddie...hindi mo pwede itong ipakita sa Cemex...your reputation is at stake ha-ha-ha. Pati naman si Ed at si Sam...pag nasa office, siguradong prim and proper tapos dito sa picture, nawala talaga ang confidence...The truth is...the event would not have been hilariously funny if not for the men of our batch. They remained true gentlemen and the ladies found it very safe to kid around. Labs ko kayo talaga!!! | |

| Hello to all of you dear batchmates once again! Miss you all for a couple of days kasi medyo busy kaming mag-asawa, may konting improvement sa house fences namin. And there's even a sad news when Roel received a call from his office last week for him to report, he might be going on-board the ship again before Christmas! Kaya nga, pare-pareho kami ng mga kids ko na nalungkot about the news. Imagine, kung matutuloy ngang makaalis ulit si Roel before Christmas, it will be his 9th year spending Christmas away from us. Anyhow, what can we do, it's his job at he needs to work pa rin for our kids future. Larry - mabuti ka pa kasi your holiday season will be happy kasi nandito pa si Frances. Thanks for posting some pictures taken during the Christmas Party of our batch last Dec. 8 ha, kahit medyo may pagka-naughty yung ilang shots during the Parlor Games, at least game ang mga batchmates natin, kasi they willingly participated sa lahat ng mga games at it really added sa tawanan at kasayahan on the night. Actually, my kids are reading with us in this forumation, they knew for a fact na "eggplant ang hinahawakan", tayong mga adults ang nagbibigay ng double meaning. I know Larry na talagang maging maingat ka in posting those naughty shots kasi baka nga may makakita niyan sa Ministry mo. Anyhow, it's all for fun! Hope you're feeling better na rin Larry, at least nandiyan si Frances to take care of you! Our sweet kisses to Pia & to your apo ha! Trifee -> like what others said, kahit sa ilang nakausap ko sa QT Kamustahan, your idea for an outreach program is good & will surely benefit those children who really like to go to school. As what I've heard, your proposal/idea will be a part in the discussion of the present officers & board members on their next meeting kaya nga they copied na that particular posted message of yours. Mabuhay ka Trifee! Thelma -> hi & how are you! Alam mo, sa palagay ko if in case Larry is with us during our Christmas Party, for sure he will not join that particular parlor game "holding the eggplant", sa picture pa lang & even while posting it ay pinagpapawisan na siya, what more kung nandoon mismo siya! Thanks nga pala, kasi I've heard na you posted my message sa QT Kamustahan about our Christmas Party & I received some good feedbacks about it naman. Prislette -> hi & musta ka na my friend! Thanks for your e-mail & I replied it na rin. Noted that you're busy with your work & with your household chores kaya medyo madalang ka ng makapag-post dito. Of course, naiintindihan namin iyon. Hope you're in good health, as well as your whole family there Freddie & Pareng Sam -> papaano ba yan, wala na kayong maitatago sa mga batchmates natin, kasi lumabas na rito sa forumation the caught-in-the act shots taken by myself nung Christmas Party natin. Tagaktak nga ang pawis ninyo at lahat ay nawala ang poise in that particular parlor games, kahit kaming nanonood lang ay tawanan ng tawanan sa mga reactions ninyong mga kasali. Anyhow, talagang super-saya natin lahat that night di ba? Mareng ATG -> again I will forward to you the link in this forumation para makapag-post ka ulit ng messages mo. How are you, your husband & kids! Like what I've said to Larry, masaya kayong magse-celebrate ng holiday season here kasi kumpleto kayo, not like us, kasi Roel might leave before Christmas Dodie, Pye, Susan, Jun P., Rudy I., Elie, Jaime D., Pareng Sam & Audie -> miss na namin kayo & your messages here! Busy ba? Hope you're all doing ok naman ha! Prislette is extending nga pala her "hi" to all of you! God bless, Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat! Warm regards too from all of us! Thought for the day: "Put God on top of everything & let Him take charge of all your plans & you will see how beautiful His ways are & His undending LOVE to us" | |

| naku dear batchmates...kahapon pa ako nagbu-bukas dito sa Forumotion pero mukhang busy ang lahat. I know Larry's PCs conked out at nasa repair shop because of the power surge in Baguio. Letty is busy with the family because Roel may cut shot his vacation. I have a good feeling that everybody is attending parties, left and right. So....to keep the communication going...I just want to greet everybody a very good day!!! Looking forward to a good, shopping galore...week-ends. Nakabili na ba kayo ng mga gifts sa inyong mga inaanak? Ako hindi pa...so I'll try tomorrow... | |

| Subject: AHS Batch 1977 Outreach Project Status Update Thu Dec 13, 2007 9:29 pm | |
| Greetings schoolmates of Araullo High School 1977!
It's 10:58pm here, Monday evening. It is still cold outside. The heavy snow storm of the afternoon went away. So, it was pretty much smooth driving. I had to spend time removing the snow from my car windows though.
Today, I visited the Value Village store and bought some books as planned. Arriving home, I made hawi the snow from the driveway with my plastik pala. Tapos, I got the 2 empty blue recycle bins and 1 empty green (food leftover) bin from my corner driveway to inside the house and into the backyard outside the house. Then, I had dinner with the tirang luto kagabi and then, I made hugas the plato. Then, I went down in the basement to check for some more books I can send.
My initial list of books for our AHS Batch 1977 Outreach project for the young students of Araullo High School:
1. Efficient Reading by James I Brown - soft cover 2. Math Power Nine by various authors - hard cover 3. Guinness World Records 2000 - hard cover colored 4. Othello Noes Shakespeare - soft cover 5. Good English - soft cover 6. Speed Reading Made Easy - soft cover 7. Guinness Book of Records 1999 - soft cover 8. Guinness Book of Records 1998 - soft cover 9. King Lear Shakespeare - soft cover 10. First Aid The Vital Link contains year 2000 CPR guidelines - soft cover 11. Seventeen (17) volumes / books of the Readers Digest Condensed - hard cover 12. ABZ's of Cooking ... Nachos to Pizza - soft cover
***********************************************
I also started to check the computer I intend to send. It is one PC that is not that fast compared to current standards but I think good enough for educational use in school. I have started to set it up and load Windows, Word, Excel, Access, etc.
Details below:
Pentium II 266Mhz 640 Kb base memory 130,048 kb extended memory 4GB Hard Drive Sound Card Internal Modem Internal Network Card DVD ROM Drive 3.5" Floppy Drive Mouse PS2 Keyboard PS2 VGA Monitor
***********************************************
I wish to request if we can get in touch with the principal of Araullo High School, inform him/her of our outreach project, ask what type of books they need most and I will do my best to find them at Value Village. Also, I must remind myself to also send some sports stuff: say, ball for basketball, chess set, and any other table games that I may find and maybe, even some CD software for educational purposes.
***********************************************
Naku, mahaba na pala itong ..post ko. Until next time, this is your friend Trifee ( alias Aga ). Cheers!

| Good day & hello to all of you our dear AHS batchmates! Fyi, we received a personal e-mail from Jaime Dabu, he said he can read our posted messages but he cannot post a reply/message to us, that's why I copied & pasted here his message as per his request, maybe that's the reason why we can't read any messages from him: "Lettie, I can't log in sa Starbach Kapihan..Please post this naman.....it won't let me to post messages...kaya I decided to sent this to you...Thanks sweetie. Naku, sana hindi matuloy si Roel sa work niya esp. this holiday season....so, sad naman...anyway, ganun talaga if you have your own family everything is sacrifice...di bale it would pay off naman later when the your kids finish their schools at puede na silang lumipad on their own...luv you and take care... But somehow, I'm trying to log in to the forumotion and it wouldn't let me but I could see all the postings...pakisabi na lang kay Larry...belated happy birthday sa kanya...thanks again. Regards to your family and have a nice holiday season ....kaya kung matutuloy si Roel...bigyan mo ng unforgettable night si bossing...(joke lang)" AND HERE IS THE MESSAGE OF JAIME DABU TO ALL OF US! "To all officers, members of the Batch 77 We are fast approaching the time of year when many people are taking time off for the holidays so I wanted to take the opportunity to extend my best wishes and Season*s Greetings to all officers and members of the Batch'77. Truly, this is a time when we should enjoy the best of the holiday spirit and find time to celebrate with our friends, families and colleagues. But we'd be remiss if we didn't also reflect on the many accomplishments throughout 2007. Despite the many challenges we have faced, former officers have never wavered in providing high quality andaward winning services and programs to our batchmates. Whether it's providing critical subject , or supporting vulnerable issues, you have worked tirelessly and with great compassion to make this a successful, caring and prosperous "Unity amongst us". What continually impresses me so much in postings here in kamustahan, you had meetings , the tremendous enthusiasm, and passion that serving the Batch'77 with the new set of officers . To me, Batch'77 embodies the very spirit of our core values of service, stewardship and commitment. As in years past, more programs and initiatives have met with overwhelming endorsement from our peers, including receiving numerous differences to each individual . This tremendous showing clearly illustrates a fundamental commitment to excellence by the new set of officers of Batch'77 and demonstrates that we have much to be very proud of and to the future. I look forward to meeting many of you during the coming festivities and extend my best wishes to you and your family for a joyful, healthy and prosperous New Year. Enjoy the holidays everyone, and thank you for your good work! Maligayang pasko ang manigong bagong taon sa inyong lahat.... I salute you all !!! Jaime" Jaime -> nice words from you & from our other batchmates about batch '77 really touched our hearts, kaya nga the more we have to stick together to keep it alive & rolling! I will be sending you an e-mail on how to penetrate again directly in this link. Larry -> naku beware ka once nakapasok ulit dito si Jaime. Imagine, he can read our messages pero hindi siya makapasok wherein to post his message. Kumbaga hindi talaga madali ang magpost dito kapag matagal ding hindi nag-open & post a message. Anyhow, soon, Jaime will be posting here directly again. Also, I sent already my personal e-mail to Lilia 'Nanette' Matias-Reyes, she replied & thankful for my assistance & she thought that the message she initially posted ay naread na nating lahat. She said that she's busy lang talaga & she saved my e-mail to serve as her guide for her to post her message as soon as she's free na from her busy schedule. Let's wait for Nanette na lang. Thelma -> hi! Yes, almost complete na ang mga gifts namin, but still we have to buy some more, kasi kailangan lahat ng dapat bigyan ay mabigyan, para lahat ay masaya. Trifee -> iba ka rin talaga! Your plan to donate something sa AHS ay inuumpisahan mo na ring ilagay sa balikbayan box & still you are buying some more books para madagdagan pa with complete listings pa, which is good para hindi na mahirapan pang mag-check ang pagbibigyan mo. We're sure that you're posting the same message sa QT Kamustahan. Since most of the officers/borard members are posting there, siguradong they will be the one to get in touch & get the name of the present AHS principal. You're such a real person & a concerned batchmate, not only to us but to those kids who will really appreciate whatever sharing you can give. We're lucky to a batchmate like you! Thought for the day: Ang Diyos ay laging nasa tabi natin, kapag masaya tayo ay alam Niya, kapag malungkot tayo ay nandiyan lang siya, kapag may problema tayo ay aayusin Niya at sasabihing... "hindi ka nag-iisa, nandito lang AKO" | |

| Hi everyone!
Re: Outreach Project for the benefit of students of Araullo High School Status Update
I spent up to 3am this morning trying to format the hard drive of this computer pero, parang palos, mahirap hulihin. Andiyan ang may I remove the jumper, or change cable, or use another hard drive ... 'wa effect. After each and every formatting, it does not boot the Operating System. So, okay ... may I tulog muna. However, in my dreams ... sumunod pa rin ang current problem ko ... fix this PC. Then suddenly in my dreams: TING! Eureka, I found the answer.
Ok, I have finally been able to access the 4GB Western Digital hard drive for this computer (good thing, I kept a utility floppy disk for WD hard drives). I was able in install Windows 98 ( Xp sana, pero for this machine, okay na ang 98 ). I am installing Office 2000 ( now as I write this message ). Done!
This Pentium II PC now boots up and ready to use in about 1 minute ( give or take ). It has Windows 98, Word, Excel, Access, FrontPage, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. I will see, what more can I load in this PC.
Cheers! | |

| Dearest starbatchmates, My family & I are greeting you all a very Merry Christmas & a Prosperous New Year! This year has come & gone by so fast, I can't even imagine that the year is already over & we are entering another year , which hopefully will bebetter than this one. I wish you all the very best in the oncoming year!! It seems that there are a few( w/c included myself) that have been absent for a few days. I have been very busy both at work & at home, then of course, w/ the holidays, my days off are sometimes concentrated in shopping. Larry: How are you? are you still in Manila or back to Baguio? I missed your postings & stories about your ministry work. How is the family? How is the misis? It seems to me that you were not present in the X-mas party in Intramuros? Sayang, malayo lang talaga ako, sana, naka attend din ako. Roel & Letty: Too bad naman at tinawag na uli sa Roel. Kailan ba alis niya? Sayang hindi man lang pinalampas ang pasko. But it seems that his stay was very worthwhile dahil he was able to meet most of our batchmates after 30 long years. Regards to the children. Jamie: O ano? Nakapasok ka na ba uli? Does either Larry or Freddie need to re-invite you again? There are times if I am at work, I can only read the messages, but I cannot post. I have to log-in first. Are you sure that you have already logged-in? I have enjoyed our conversation last time, I sure missed your wonderful voice after I haven't heard from you for a long time. Sige, pag uwi natin, dapat " wearing gold" tayo ha? Freddie: I have seen your picture from the "talong" game. You guys are very naughty I heard, but had lots of fun. You haven't responded yetto my e-mail. It is making wonder... Thelma: Nice talking to you again, so sorry I was not able to call you again, I fell asleep early. This past 2 days, it seems that the cold weather is now taking it's toll in my body. I am feeling flu-like symptoms lately, sorethroat, couging, body aches , at least no fever yet. Sometimes, I just think that we are still very lucky here in California vs. the ones in the Mid-West & East Coast, the snowstorm, blizzard, shoveling snow, etc. I cannot take too much cold. I know I will be sick all the time. Ehlee: It was great for you to even offer your place & be a part of our upcoming 50th party. Everybody is welcome, basta ka batch. Freddie e-mailed me about it, I justhappened to mention it here in our Forum, but it is open to anyone who wants to be a part of it. The more the merrier. To all, again, I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!! Miss you all, Jun & Prislette | |

One of the guys happens to looks like me. I already issued a strong denial in the local press and leading tabloids that it was a case of mistaken identity. The proponents of this VIDEO Scandal according to OMB authorities are secretly being watch as they are again planning to shoot another scandal next year On the serious side... | Hi Everyone, kumusta na po kayo dito sa Starbatch kapihan, miss ko na kayo, medyo kabi-kabila ang Christmas party ,kaya so busy lately,
Hi Larry, malamig ba dyan sa Baguio Hi Letty ,natuloy na ba si Roel ,its sad that you had to spend christmas without him, pero for sure may magandang balik ito Hi Prislette, so how are you and Jun,I read na you dont feel good, well take care of yourself ,malamig na ang panahon Hi Rudy Victor ,long time no hear. Hi Jun Papa, the dashing Starbatch pinoy scandal idol eheh, got carried away, sowee, kasi naman yang mga pics na iyan talagang nakakadala hi hi hi
Kwento muna ako ng aking escapades yesterday!
Grabe! its my sons 10th birthday yesterday and since medyo natapat naman sa bonusan and all ,we had fun and a whole day of munching ,we went out early to go to Eastwood City in Libis and head straight for a sumptuous breakfast buffet at Something Fishy ,2 am pa lang ng madaling araw open na iyon up to 10 am for breakfast lang, I think less than 100 pesos ang bayad dun .( have you eaten there Letty? ) an avalanche of longanisa and tocino and adobong baboy and adobong chicken, daing na bangus ,scrambled eggs and hotdog, pancit malabon ,mami and bibingka and pitsi-pitsi at kanin pa lang 5 types na agad ang pagpipilian mo hmmmmm ,yummy! then we proceed to Tiendesitas to hear mass then afterwards proceed to Makati to go to Ayala museum ,ang ganda ng diorama doon, Im impressed! ,history of the Philippines unfolds in small scale miniature look like real landscape and doll replica of our heroes , complete with action freeze in its natural stance ,ay ang galing talaga , then afterwards we head back straight to Tiendesitas to go to Fun Ranch theme park ,but sadly its not a place for 10 year old and up,konti lang ang pwede nyang sakyan, we ate our meryenda at Mongkok dimsum house ,chinese food is so good, then go to Avilon zoo its right near Fun ranch ,then we went to Meralco Garden in Ortigas where they have this Paskuhan village a replica made of copper with a wide variety of lights, also the giant Belen is made of copper its so good to see at night ,if you want to see it near and shoot pictures with your family ,you can actually go inside the compound for free just tell the guards your intension ,its an awesome spectacle ,ang ganda sa gabi, then because its an open garden my son brought out my gift to him which happens to be a remote control helicopter ,so together with my eldest son we try to manipulate the controls and off it went soaring up and down ,and we had so much fun, then we sat and talk and tease and turn over and over the grass then we decided to go to Robinsons Galleria which is only 50 meters away to watch movie sana ,pero restricted 13 pala yung movie na gusto naming panoorin,so di pwede ang celebrant kong anak,so we just cruise the aisle of the mall hand and hand for about an hour, the four of us trying to find some bargains until we got hungry again ,and we landed in a Wham Burger station where the regular humburger is bigger than your face and the french fries are real potatoes ,hmmmmmmm sarap kumain talaga , pero so much pagod ako talaga, its a good thing I took my vitamins and a bottle of Red bull for stamina ,kung hindi I could not have lasted this ordeal, well ang sakit ng paa at binti ko at ang laki ng gastus ko grabe,Pero talaga, the bonding that we did ( my wife and two sons ) ,the group hugs and the kisses the laughs the fun that we had, those are the most memorable , immeasurable, irreplaceable best part of the story, then at the end of the day I ask my son are you happy on your birthday ,he just gave me a big smile and a very tight warm embraced,no need for him to answer, its all written in his small cute bedimpled face,I love my sons,I love my family, thank you very much God

A science professor begins his school year with a lecture to the students, "Let me explain the problem science has with religion." The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.
"You're a Christian, aren't you, son?"
"Yes sir," the student says.
"So you believe in God?"
"Absolutely."
"Is God good?"
"Sure! God's good."
"Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?"
"Yes."
"Are you good or evil?"
"The Bible says I'm evil."
The professor grins knowingly. "Aha! The Bible!" He considers for a moment. "Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?"
"Yes sir, I would."
"So you're good...!"
"I wouldn't say that."
"But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't."
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. "He doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?"
The student remains silent.
"No, you can't, can you?" the professor says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.
"Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?"
"Er...yes," the student says.
"Is Satan good?"
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. "No."
"Then where does Satan come from?"
The student falters. "From God"
"That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this world?"
"Yes, sir."
"Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?"
"Yes."
"So who created evil?" The professor continued, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil."
Again, the student has no answer. "Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?"
The student squirms on his feet. "Yes."
"So who created them?"
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. "Who created them?" There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized. "Tell me," he continues onto another student. "Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?"
The student's voice betrays him and cracks. "Yes, professor, I do."
The old man stops pacing. "Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?"
"No sir. I've never seen Him."
"Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?"
"No, sir, I have not."
"Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?"
"No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't."
"Yet you still believe in him?"
"Yes."
"According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?"
"Nothing," the student replies. "I only have my faith."
"Yes, faith," the professor repeats. "And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith."
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of His own. "Professor, is there such thing as heat?"
"Yes," the professor replies. "There's heat."
"And is there such a thing as cold?"
"Yes, son, there's cold too."
"No sir, there isn't."
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. "You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees."
"Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.
"What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?"
"Yes," the professor replies without hesitation. "What is night if it isn't darkness?"
"You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word."
"In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?"
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. "So what point are you making, young man?"
"Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed."
The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. "Flawed? Can you explain how?"
"You are working on the premise of duality," the student explains. "You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought."
"It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it."
"Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?"
"If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do."
"Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?"
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.
"Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?"
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.
"To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean."
The student looks around the room. "Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?" The class breaks out into laughter.
"Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir."
"So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?"
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. "I guess you'll have to take them on faith."
"Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life," the student continues. "Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?"
Now uncertain, the professor responds, "Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
If you read it all the way through and had a smile on your face when you finished, mail to your friends and family with the title: God vs Science

| Hello everyone!!! I've been out for a few days. Apologies for being absent...katulad ng marami sa atin, ang daming schedules na naka-line up...kabi-kabila ang kailangang asikasuhin...just so you know, I am joining another organization and will leave Unilever effective January 7, 2008. My new job by January 8 at Astra Zeneca ( a pharmaceutical company) is so difficult to resist...lighter... more simple...provides me better work/life balance which is what I wanted in the first place. I will not leave my job in the US had it not for this sole purpose. The additional perk is that the office is closer to my house, company's mission is closer to my heart, i.e. extend and enhance human lives. Amidst our search for perfection and life satisfaction, we always have to know our true north... I have never doubted my priority...my family. While I'm a workaholic and by nature can work until the wee hours of the morning, there needs to be a balance of Body, Mind & Soul.
Am glad that despite the rush...a lot of us still find time to check in here...Merry Christmas sa inyong lahat!!!
Trifee...don't doubt for a second that you're not hearing much from our side about your vision for the young students of Araullo. I happened to know from Racquel that there will be a Board meeting on the 5th of January to discuss next action steps after our successful Christmas party. I volunteered to attend the meeting to ensure that our short- and long-term outreach program is given enough space in the batch's action planning for 2008. Freddie, Jun, Letty, Angel, Audie, Willie, Sam, Felix... and the rest of the batch who are currently not board officers/members but are truly committed to bring our batch's existence to the next level, let's volunteer to attend and see this through. I will not mention your names anymore...You know you're being called...I'll see you on the 5th...

| Subject: Hello Larry... Thu Dec 20, 2007 7:29 am | |
| Thanks for the concern, my dear friend. I'm in a better spot now. I still grieve for the lost of my Mom in 1996 and of my Dad quite recently but words of encouragement, inspiration, condolences...allowed me to pick up the pieces and move on. Bitter sweet nga ang pakiramdam ko ngayon kasi nagka-apo naman ako noong Dec. 12. My daughter gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Connor Joshua Manuel Weigle.
Am glad that I became a part, little as it may be, of your outreach program. You know what...I 'm beginning to discover that we have a lot of batchmates who are also socially aware and are deeply committed to give themselves to a higher calling of service to the community. Heard that Racquel's outreach program for the elderly were supported by Letty, Chat, Vic and Lito Balila. Believe ako talaga sa inyo lalo na kay Letty na kahit busy sya sa pag-alis ni Roel, she found time to travel from Cavite, go to Jade Vine early in the morning and give a day of fun for the elderly. Nakaka-inspire kayong lahat. Ang dami pa nating mga ka-batch who are also into community service...quietly doing their part...not expecting to even be recognized...Trifee, Willie B., et al...Mahirap na lang mag roll call kasi baka may ma-miss akong names. Ito ang spirit ng pasko...Araw-araw pasko sa puso ng marunong magmahal sa kapuwa...Merry Christmas to all AHS77 batchmates!!!

| Subject: Birhtday Greetings to my beloved husband! Thu Dec 20, 2007 7:57 am | |
| Merry Christmas & a Peaceful New Year to all of you my dear batchmates & to your respective families too! Musta na kayong lahat, it's been busy for us this week kaya pasensiya na kayo kung ngayon lang ulit ako nakapag-post ha. To my beloved Sweetheart Roel -> me & our kids are wishing you a very 'HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY" (Dec. 20). We're wishing you all the best the God can give to a very religious, responsible, hardworking, healthy, respectful, loving, sweet & faithful husband & father to our kids. Siyempre with matching sweet kisses & warm embraces na rin. We had a simple family celebration lang & masaya kaming mag-iina mo kasi nagustuhan mo our birthday gift to you, eventhough you've said na "ok lang kahit walang birthday gift, basta't magkakasama at malulusog tayo", let's say bonus na lang yung gift namin sa iyo kasi you've been giving/sharing whatever you have sa aming immediate family mo & even to our extended family members too! Hope you will be as great as you are "kahit maputi na ang buhok natin at uugod-ugod na tayo ha". Always bear in mind that "me & our kids LOVE YOU VERY MUCH & IT WILL BE FOREVER!" We're really thankful to God for having you in our lives! Cheers & more healthy & happy years to come! And YEHEYYY, masaya kami!!! Kasi you will be spending Christmas with us this year after 8 long years. Imagine, nung 1998 ka pa namin huling nakasama na mag-celebrate ng Christmas & New Year. Our eldest then was in Nursery pa lang & she's in 1st year high school na, our youngest nung 1998 ay hindi pa nag-aaral & now she's in Gr. VI na. Nakukuha talaga sa prayers, lalo pa nga at naumpisahan naming magsimbang gabi. Yun nga lang hindi regular na nakakasama our kids kasi they have classes & exams & tomorrow nga ay Christmas Party na nila. Audie -> hi & nice to read your message again! Enjoy to the max pala ang birthday celebration of your child, family bonding ika nga. Forgot to mention that you were the "disc jockey" the whole night during our Christmas Party last Dec. 8 & finally ay nagkakilala na rin kayo ng husband ko personally. Belated happy birthday to your anak ha! Fyi, hindi pa kami nakakapasyal sa kinainan ninyo sa Libis, we will try it some other time siguro. And Audie, it's Freddie Nicdao (not Jun Papa) yung may stolen shot ko during one of our parlor games Freddie -> oo nga, naubos ngang lahat yata yung mga unguarded shots mo sa mga bangketa, pero dito sa forumotion natin, you can't pull it out, they were already posted by Larry, sabi mo pa nga ay hindi pa nakikita ng wife mo the developed copies we gave to you. You're a good sport naman eh, yun nga lang, you had such shots nung nagdalaga na ang mga kids mo. Yes, tama ka rin that we had a great time last Sun., Dec. 16, lahat ay masaya & thanks for the gift ha. Pls. extend my warm regards to your nice wife ha! Rudy I. -> nice to read your message here kahit medyo short, next time ay mahaba na ulit ha! Thanks din nga pala sa cute gift that you gave last Sun., Dec. 16 & happy kami at nakita rin namin ang isa sa mga kids mo, binatilyo na pala. Wala ka pa ring kakupas-kupas in strumming the guitar & singing at the same time, ang saya ng naging jamming natin, back to memory lane (especially the songs that were the hit during our high school days) Thelma -> hi & yap, we're all busy these past few days, kaya nga ako every night before going to sleep ay para akong naku-kunsensiya kapag hindi nakapag-read & post a message here, pero kapag pagod na kasi ay wala na rin sa mood mag-post ng message di ba? Noted that you will be transferring to a new company early next year. Good luck to you! Larry -> sad to know that you've been hospitalized & hoping na tuloy-tuloy na ang recovery mo. Hirap naman ng situation ninyong mag-asawa, nasa Dagupan pala your wife at nababa ka to be with her. Mas gusto niya ba ang climate doon? Anyhow, everything is possible basta't para sa "mahal" mo di ba? Naku, may idi-demanda ka na naman ba or tinuluyan mo na? Take it easy my friend, yung puso mo, relax lalo pa nga at nandito pa your wife, is it possible to text her or talk to her by phone just to say hello? Pls. ask her naman ha! Nice story that you've posted, which happens to anybody Mareng ATG, Prislette, Dodie, Pye, Susan,Jun P., Jaime D., Pareng Sam & Ompong -> pls. magparamdam naman kayo (nagse-2nd demotion lang ako sa sinabi ni Freddie). Warm regards to all of you! Thought for the day: "One of life's best gifts is TIME - time to talk, love, discover, create, dream, listen, wonder or simply rest. Enjoy the gift of time!" | |

| Trifee -> hi, your effort in extending your sincere help/assistance to AHS for the benefit of those children who are willing to continue their studies will surely be appreciated. We're lucky & proud to have a batchmate like you, eventhough you're not here sa Pinas! It will be better if in case you will be having your vacation here to appear personally to AHS, especially to have a meeting with the Principal & other faculty members! Since you're posting also sa QT Kamustahan, I'm quite sure that the present officers & board members will act on your behalf or will do something on what you're doing!

I have been busy programming lately. Good thing is that, due to the holiday season, there is not that much pressure / stress. In the process, I feel happier with the resulting Java program that I am supposed to implement early January 2008 for Finance and Data Management.
I should be able to return to our Outreach Program work this weekend. I have put another physical hard drive into the computer - 1.7 Gb only but at least, that's additional space I can use to put a ghost backup/recovery file of Windows and all its other software. In short, in the event that the PC experiences a Windows OS corruption, they simply have to follow a few simple steps and they can recover the system to be up and running again.
There are still a lot of books in the basement that I need to include in our list.
I still am waiting for our contact info for Araullo High School:
Araullo High School, Manila Current Principal's full name Office Tel number Mobile Tel number Email Address full address of Araullo High School
... nice to have info:
full name of current Journalism Adviser Office Tel number Mobile Tel number Email Address
Is there an adviser / teacher for an Araullo High School Chess Club? Do they conduct tournaments for the students?
My best wishes to us all - Mabuhay ang Araullo High School Batch 1977!
